For a budget around a hundred bucks or so, you may have considered getting either Cobra SPX 5500 or Cobra SPX 6700. Between the two, Cobra SPX6700 is a little bit more expensive than Cobra SPX5500. Both are very popular on the market; so, which is the one that you should choose?
Cobra SPX 5500
Cobra SPX 5500 is claimed as an ultra-high performance radar/laser gun detector by the manufacturer. In many ways, Cobra SPX 6700 is similar to Cobra SPX5500. It can also detect various radar and laser guns including POP radar guns and Ku-band radar guns. It is also immune to VG-2 and Spectre technologies. However, it does come with more features. First, Cobra SPX 6700 has been equipped with an organic LED screen that provides a bright graphical display for intuitive and convenient visual threat notifications. Second, in addition to the standard city/highway filtering modes, it also features the IntelliShield False Signal Rejection, which functions for an improved rejection against false signals for better confidence as you drive. There are also Dim Modes that adjust the screen’s contrast and brightness, allowing you to read it comfortably even under low-light conditions.
